Eagerly awaiting the opening of Spring....

Trying to limit myself, my palette to black and white +1 color, is like trying to limit myself to only three ingredients to meals......even beans and rice has so much more!!! The rich warm undertones of cumin and chili, the reds of chipotle, the creamy taupes of roasted garlic and caramel onions....sigh. I am often not good with limits, but I am enjoying the asthetic challenge.

For those who wished to see the finished weave, this is "Persephone" representing the 6 months that the goddess Persephone had to stay in Hades, after eating 6 seeds of the pomegranate Thus she doomed mankind to suffer 6 months of winter while Persephone's mom, the goddess of earth, mourned.
